Alumni Spotlight! Congratulations to Cambridge-South Dorchester High School Alumnus, Ryan Widmaier! On October 25, Ryan graduated from Basic Combat Training at Fort Sill Oklahoma with Honors. This recognition is awarded to those graduates in the top 10% of their class! Furthermore, Ryan was awarded the Highest Rifle Marksmanship for his outstanding shooting skills. The faculty and staff at C-SD are so proud of our newest US Army soldier.

Join us for an exciting football game against CSD and Easton on Friday, November 1st! Here are some important details to keep in mind:
🌟 **Good Sportsmanship:** We encourage all fans to display good sportsmanship throughout the game. Let's cheer passionately for our team while also respecting the opposing team, officials, and fellow spectators. Together, we can create a positive and supportive atmosphere that makes this event enjoyable for everyone!
🔹 Entry Policy: Students who are listed on the Activity Ban list will NOT be allowed to enter the game. Any student deemed an issue will be refunded their entry fee and escorted off property.
🔹 Ticket Purchase: All tickets MUST be purchased through GoFan. No cash will be accepted at the gate. You can pre-purchase tickets on GoFan.co or via credit/debit at the gate.
🔹 Tailgate Info: If you're planning to participate in the tailgate, we highly recommend arriving early! The tailgate starts at 5PM and kickoff for the game is at 6 PM.
🔹 Safety Measures: The Dorchester County Sheriff Department will be in attendance. All persons entering the stadium will be required to be screened through the Weapons Detection System. Please leave unnecessary items at home. Any spectator—student or adult—who causes disruptions will be removed from the game and escorted off the property. A trespass letter will be issued accordingly.
Please adhere to these rules and regulations to ensure a fun and safe event for all. Let’s come together, show our school spirit, and enjoy a great game! 🎉🏈

Students enrolled in Ms. White and Ms. Steeves Biology classes partnered with ShoreRivers and had an awesome time at University of Maryland Center for Environmental Science’s Horn Point Lab in Cambridge. During the field trip, students learned about local water quality, toured the Oyster Hatchery, built a buoy, and played fun outdoor games. Students will continue to work with ShoreRivers throughout the year by doing in class, hands on Environmental Activities.
Here we go (again)! Our Homecoming Tailgate that was postponed has officially been rescheduled for next Friday, November 1st from 5-9PM! We are calling all former Vikings to come out and tailgate with us on Senior Night as the Vikings take on the Easton Warriors in Viking Stadium. Kickoff for the game is at 6PM, and tickets for the game can be pre-purchased on GoFan.co beginning Sunday, October 27th at 11am. We'll meet you there!
Today was a great day in the C-SD Library! C-SD Career Coach, Sandy Shaw, arranged for our students to meet with Caitlin Donohue-Vega, of The Eastern Shore Area Health Education Center and Arlene Guagliano, of The Maryland Office of Oral Health. Our presenters facilitated “hands on” experiences in dental career pathways for our 24 Dorchester County high school students! Thank you to the professionals for coming to Cambridge-South Dorchester High School.
Also, special thanks to, Kastine Farmer, Medical Services Teacher and her class at Dorchester Career and Technology Center for Joining us.

It's time for Thursday Night Lights, and we have a lot going on in Viking Stadium tonight! We are going PINK to raise awareness for the fight against breast cancer, and are excited to welcome our Future Vikings from our feeder elementary schools. Come out tonight at 6PM to cheer on our Vikings as they battle it out against Snow Hill!

Over the summer, the following Cambridge South Dorchester High School students served as ambassadors for the Summer Career Enrichment Program: Juan Slaughter, Chloe Sharp, Mia Hamby, Londyn Molock, and Leilani Hynson. This event was hosted by the MidShore Regional Foundation. Today these students were recognized by Mr. Stover for this achievement. Please help us congratulate these amazing student ambassadors!

Don't Forget! CSD is having our Fall Flea Market this Saturday from 7:00 a.m. until 12 noon. We are up to 37 vendors now, with tons of fabulous flea market finds! There will face-painting by theatre students, live music, and lots of tasty refreshments sold by our very own Class of 2026! Other goodies will be available to help Skills U.S.A., and drinks for sale to help raise money for our wrestling team!
