Due to the current weather conditions, DCPS will operate on a virtual learning day tomorrow, Tuesday, February 24, 2026. Students should follow their school's schedule as they did today. THERE WILL NOT BE A 2-HOUR LATE ARRIVAL AS PREVIOUSLY PLANNED. Other staff are required to telework. If that is not possible, contact your supervisor. Please stay safe!

Last weekend, six amazing students from Dorchester County attended the RYLA (Rotary Youth Leadership Awards) Conference, proudly sponsored by the Rotary Club of Cambridge! They did a terrific job, packing 15,500 meals in just over an hour and bringing home 2 boxes of food for One Mission and 1 for the Salvation Army.
The students joined the Rotary Club at their meeting on Thursday, February 19th, to share their inspiring experiences with our members. It was wonderful to hear about their leadership journeys and community impact!

There is a slight possibility of winter weather this weekend. As a precaution, students are being sent home with their devices and/or paper learning packets tomorrow, Friday, February 20th in the event that school is impacted next week.
Should weather conditions cause a school closure at the start of next week, we will transition to virtual instruction. We hope that the weather will cooperate and that we will see our students in person, bright and early, on Monday.
Thank you for your support and understanding as we prepare for all possibilities.

There is a slight chance of winter weather this evening, so just in case it impacts school tomorrow, students are being sent home today with their devices and/or paper learning packets.
If weather does cause a school closure, we will move to virtual instruction for the day. This is simply a precaution—we’re hoping Mother Nature cooperates and that we’ll see our students bright and early on Wednesday!
Thank you for helping us be prepared (and fingers crossed we won’t need it 🤞).

Due to patchy ice on backroads, Dorchester County Public Schools will operate on a two-hour delay tomorrow, Monday, February 2, 2026. Please be safe!

Their hard work and positive attitudes make our school a better place every day. Congratulations to these amazing students — keep shining and inspiring others!
