We have a pretty calm week of learning that will happen this week. That means there should be time for your students to be checking their grades in Power School!!
In the world of Athletics, we have the following events:
Monday - Golf at Hog Neck Boys Varsity Soccer v/s Kent County at home, and Unified Tennis at JMB.
Tuesday - There is a Girls Varsity Soccer game v/s Snow Hill, and there is a Mandatory Fall Sports Meeting in the Gymnasium for players and coaches at 3pm.
Wednesday - The Boys Soccer Team is at Snow Hill, and the Rumble in the Jungle for Cross Country is at 3pm.
Thursday - The girls Varsity Soccer team is at Colonel, JV Football is home v/s North East, and Golf is at Hog Neck.
Friday, there is a Boys Varsity Football game at Laurel (DE) at 6pm.
Saturday, the Cross Country team is heading to Hereford High School for the Bull Run Invitational.

This school year, we are changing things up a little bit and highlighting a group of Student Scholars of the Week each week. All staff members are able to nominate students they wish to recognize and why. The first four Student Scholars of the Week are: Amora Perkins, Izzy Trissell, Maddie Bierley, and Souhaila Doutoum. There are many sporting events, including a boys soccer game Monday, Golf at Hog Neck on Tuesday as well as Girls Varsity Soccer at Mardela. Cambridge South Dorchester High School students are invited to attend a college preparation presentation featuring Ty Young, founder of Young Scholars College Consulting. This will be held Wednesday, September 10th at 6pm in the CSD Media Center. All high school students are invited to attend, even if you attend school in another district.
Class of 2029 is in the house! Freshman students were warmly welcomed by former teachers, CSD staff, and cheerleaders before finding their classrooms. They then attended a Town Hall meeting led by Principal Stover and experienced Power Lunch for the first time.

The Senior class of 2026 had a great turnout this morning for their first class event of the year - the Senior Sunrise. Get ready class of 2026 - it's going to be a great year!!
Tomorrow, Wednesday 9/3, we will be holding Town Hall meetings for CSD students in the Auditorium. Students will be called down at the following times:
10th Grade: 8:15 AM
11th Grade: 9:15 AM
12th Grade: 10:15 AM
AM DCTC students will all attend the 10:15 Town Hall.
Senior students with Work-Based Learning in their schedule must attend the Town Hall meeting to pick up the required paperwork.

Driver's Ed is coming to Cambridge South Dorchester High School! The two week session will run from September 22nd through October 3rd from 3:15 - 6:30 in E-60. The session is limited to 30 students. You can register by contacting Drive On Time at 443-944-5288 or online using the link in the flier.

Come out to receive a copy of your schedule, meet your teachers, and find your classrooms. You can even do a walkthrough of your first day of classes to help you feel prepared!

This is a reminder to all Dual Enrollment Students! Your classes start today, so make sure you log in and get started on the right foot. If you have not picked up your school issued laptop, please stop by the high school. Happy First Day of classes!!!
CSD Laptop Distribution will take place on Tuesday, August 26th and Wednesday, August 27th from 8:30AM to 1:00PM. Grades 9 and 10 will be distributed on 8/26 and grades 11 and 12 will be distributed on 8/27. To pick up laptops, students and parents will need to enter through door 16 in the Cafeteria. An adult is required to sign your technology agreement form before a laptop can be released. There will also be an opportunity for parents to sign laptop agreement forms during open house on Thursday, 8/28.
Please note that students who did not turn in a device at the year, will still be assigned a new device if a form is signed. However, the bill for the unreturned device will stand until it is given back to IT.

It's our first calendars of the school year! This week, all teachers will be back in the building preparing for the new school year beginning Friday. Friday is also our first Varsity Football Scrimmage at home with a start time of 5:30. Coming up next week is our annual back to school open house on August 28th from 2 - 4pm.
