We are grateful for our amazing fine arts team: Mr. Shunk (Art), Mrs. Wise (Music), Ms. Barnes (Theater), Mr. Baden (Art - not pictured), and Ms. Gruber (Art). Each of them inspires creativity and passion in our students, fostering a love for the arts and encouraging self-expression. Thank you for all your hard work and dedication.

If you visit CSD, you're likely to see Mr. Stewart, Ms. O’Bier, Ms. White, Mrs. Burchfield, and Ms. Freeman conducting a lab in one of their science classrooms. The Science Department puts in great effort to challenge students to think creatively and offers them valuable real-world experiences. Our front office staff is the best of the best! Mrs. Robertson is our Administrative Secretary and she has been working hard preparing for graduation - plus the millions of other things she does on a daily basis. Mrs. Walker is the guru for all financial things (the sports teams alone keep her busy)! Ms. Sampson is the first person you see when you come in to the building. Mrs. Henry keeps track of Attendance and answers about 1,000 student questions everyday. Ms. Jackson is new to our team, and she is our guidance secretary. These ladies keep the front office running and we appreciate all they do for CSD, seen and unseen. We missed our chance to shout them out on Administrative Professionals day - but wanted them to know we appreciate them! Happy Staff Appreciation week.

Our English Department tirelessly works each day to ensure the success of their students. Not only do they promote fitness and healthy habits in the classroom, but they also dedicate their time to coaching our sports teams after school. During Teacher Appreciation week this week, we will be shouting out all of our teaching departments! Meet our dedicated Math department teachers! Mrs. Grande, Mrs. Dockins, Mrs. Nichols, Ms. Wright, Ms. Rideout, Ms. Thomas, Mr. Tucker, and Mr. Halter all put in tremendous effort to educate our students in Math. Covering subjects from Algebra 1 and Geometry to AP Pre-Calculus and Consumer Finance, these educators are committed to helping students achieve their full potential. It is S E N I O R N I G H T for our Boys' Lax team! The Vikings take on their cross-county rivals, the North Dorchester Eagles, in Viking Stadium at 6PM. There will be a K2 Dorchester Youth Lacrosse halftime game in the stadium, as well as a post-game ceremony honoring Coach Steve Hurley. DLAX Youth players gain free entry with their jersey and a paying adult, and JAHA Ice will be on site tonight as well! Meet us there! 🥍🎉 ❔Can't make it in person?
