We want to take a moment to recognize Mr. Roman Coale and his family! We thank them for their generous donation in memory of Mrs. Christy Coale. Christy was a former P.A.W.S. President who sadly passed away. We do our best to keep the flower beds in tip top shape to honor Christy's commitment to our HUSKY PRIDE! Over the weekend, Mrs. Bard rejuvenated the gardens with new plants. The Coale Family donated hummingbird feeders and a hummingbird camera to live stream our feathered visitors for our Huskies to experience, as well as a monetary donation. We are very appreciative of the unwavering support from our dedicated staff and families. Their commitment plays a vital role in fostering a positive, nurturing environment where our students can thrive!

Our Spring Art Show and Book Fair are quickly approaching and we can't wait!! Our students have some AMAZING artwork to show off!! Mark your calendars for Tuesday, April 29th and Thursday, May 1st for extended hours to our book fair and art show! From 3pm-6pm, the art show and book fair will be open for the community. Come grab some books and walk through the beautiful artwork! Artwork will be available to purchase and sold to the "highest bidder." We can't wait to see everyone!

Hello Families, Today, we are kicking off another fundraiser!! Your child is bringing home a Book Buddy Lanyard letting you know about a safe and easy way for our school to raise funds for essential tools our students and teachers need to succeed. The SchoolStore Program is 100% online so there is NO face-to-face selling, handling money, or delivering products. Your participation will take less than 12 minutes, and there are exciting prizes to make it fun for the students. Here is all you need to do to participate: 1. Ready…Set…Register! Online registration for the 2025-2026 school year for PreK-3 through Kindergarten will open on Thursday, April 24, 2025. PreK-3 slots are limited and are only offered at Sandy Hill, Maple, Vienna and Hurlock Elementary Schools. PreK-3 students must be 3 years old by September 1, 2025; PreK-4 students must be 4 years old by September 1, 2025; and Kindergarten students must be 5 years old by September 1, 2025. Kindergarten attendance is mandatory by the State of Maryland. What do you need to register? Proof of age (original birth certificate or passport), proof of residence (lease, mortgage statement, or utility bill), proof of relationship to the student (birth certificate, court order, legal documentation), and up-to-date immunization records. PreK-3 and PreK-4 students also need proof of income for all adults residing in the household (2024 tax return, 2024 W2’s, current paystubs, and proof of additional income—TCA, child support, unemployment).
