🌱🥕 2nd grade students worked hard this week making connections between plant and animal relationships! Students read the story ✨ Tops and Bottoms ✨ to explore which plants grow above ground versus underground.
Then came the fun part — a delicious taste test! 😋 Students sampled a variety of seeds, stems, and vegetables including beets, sunflower seeds, radishes, turnips, and peas… oh my! 🥬🌻🥕 They even washed it all down with tasty V8 vegetable juice! 🧃
This hands-on lesson helped our kiddos learn about plants while getting in their daily servings of veggies too! 👏🌱
