May students of the month

April students of the month

Mosquito spraying will not begin for a couple of weeks and mosquitoes are BAD! You may want to spray students before sending them to school as we are spending a lot of time outside.

Introducing Rooms, the new DCPS Parent-Teacher communication tool! Rooms is fully integrated into our district app so you have one app for everything. Parents/Guardians can use the DCPS app for district and school news, events, dining, and now Rooms. Please check your email for more information and to get connected to your child's teacher(s).

Good afternoon, this is a reminder that students in grades 3-8 will be participating in math testing Tuesday- Friday. Please make sure students are well rested and on time. Thank you!

Check out this summer opportunity!

As we are approaching days with warmer weather, I would like to review a few important items with you about dress code.
● Hygiene is important. Students this age are maturing. Bathing daily and applying deodorant is a courtesy to EVERYONE. With being active daily, either at recess or gym, hygiene is essential for this age group.
Being a student is your child’s full time occupation. As part of their occupation, they need to come to school daily dressed to fulfill their duties and should be dressed as follows:
● Shirts/tank tops should cover undergarments, chest and stomach area- including when you bend over.
● Midriff, including belly button, should be covered at all times. If you need to pull it down to cover skin, it is too short.
● Shorts/skirts should be an appropriate length for school.
● Athletic shorts must have compression/bike shorts underneath them.
● See through or mesh clothing should have appropriate coverage underneath.
● Language/graphics on clothing should not be a distraction to others and be school appropriate.
Ms. Green will make the final decision on all clothing. If it does not meet dress code standards, an alternate outfit of legging and a t-shirt will be provided. Parents will NOT be called to bring clothes to school.

Thank you to ALL FOR LOVE for the bike donations. The winners were selected from a drawing of students with exemplary attendance!
