Good afternoon! Just a friendly calendar reminder that students will report to school on a two-hour delay on Monday, March 23, 2026. Teachers will be participating in Professional Development during this time. Thank you!

Thank you for your understanding, and stay safe!
Thank you for your continued support!

However we are not giving up! We are going to scale down this year and have a smaller fun run during the school day-more information to come on that-and then plan for a big event early next school year.
We really appreciate everyone’s support and wish everyone luck on that weekend for the Senior class play and the beginning of the spring sports season.

Dear Eighth Grade Parents,
Your child will be stepping into the world of being a high school freshman very soon and we are busy preparing for that time now. In order to prepare for next school year, you and your child will need to schedule an appointment with Mrs. Willey, our school counselor, to complete the registration process.
Attached is a schedule of dates and times, email Mrs. Willey your top 2 dates and times at willeyj@dcpsmd.org. We will do our best to accommodate your requested times.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to call Mrs. Willey at 410-901-6934 ext. 2102.
Sincerely,
Patricia Prosser Jamie Raymond-Willey
Maryland requires that all public schools survey students about school climate as a part of our accountability system. The Maryland School Survey has been administered with great success and data shared with schools. The purpose of the survey is to gain valuable information about the quality and character of the learning environment in each school so that they can promote a climate that supports student learning.
Students will take the survey during regular school hours on March 11. The survey will take about 30 minutes and will ask students about topics such as student engagement, interactions with adults and with other students in the school, the school environment, bullying, and safety. The survey will not ask about a student’s personal experiences and will not ask the student to provide any information that might violate his or her privacy.
The survey is confidential, and school, district, and state personnel will not have access to the responses of specific students. The responses will be combined with the responses from other students in the school, and results reported for each school and district.
We are eager to receive this very important information about your child’s school and about schools across the state.
If you have any questions about this survey, please contact me at prosserp@dcpsmd.org or 410-901-6934.
Sincerely,
Patricia Prosser, Principal

There is a slight possibility of winter weather this weekend. As a precaution, students are being sent home with their devices and/or paper learning packets tomorrow, Friday, February 20th in the event that school is impacted next week.
Should weather conditions cause a school closure at the start of next week, we will transition to virtual instruction. We hope that the weather will cooperate and that we will see our students in person, bright and early, on Monday.
Thank you for your support and understanding as we prepare for all possibilities.
