Keep sending in photos of your families enjoying The Wild Robot together! 💚📖

We held two drawings today! One for students who submitted their answers to last night’s reading of The Wild Robot and another for our 5th graders who were on time and present all day yesterday for MISA testing.

Tomorrow, staff and students are encouraged to wear green to celebrate Dragon House Day of Dreamers! Students participating do not need to wear their uniform.

Students don’t just check out books in the Media Center—they dive into research! In Media with Mrs. Morrissette, these 4th graders are exploring and comparing two different animals through research and writing.

Only one week left in our Read-a-Thon! Check out some of our recent daily drawing winners! Students can enter the drawing by completing each night’s reading of The Wild Robot and submitting their slips with answers to the questions. Keep reading for a chance to win!

Our 5th graders will be taking the Maryland Integrated Science Assessment from March 10th to 14th. Students who arrive on time and stay for the entire school day will be entered into a raffle for prizes.

Congratulations to today’s winners from The Wild Robot drawing! Don’t forget to read chapters 17-22 tonight and turn in your slips with the answers tomorrow for a chance to win! 📖
Tomorrow students can wear camouflage and/or their House color for the House meetings tomorrow!

Congratulations to our Students of the Month for February! 🦁💚

This week, our play therapy sessions focused on courage! Mrs. Meekins and Mrs. Pinder worked with our PK4 students to review Little Spot of Courage and complete a fun courage themed activity page.🦁

We’re loving the pictures of our Maple Lions enjoying The Wild Robot with their families! Keep sending them in—we can’t wait to see more!

Today, our staff and students dressed up as animals or wore animal prints because Roz, the main character in The Wild Robot, saw so many different animals on her journey! 🦁🐍🐼
Tomorrow, we’re keeping the theme going! Roz had to run, leap, and jump to escape an animal—so students can wear exercise clothes!

So far, we’ve raised over $6,000 and logged more than 10,000 minutes of reading! A huge shoutout to our top students and classes for their outstanding effort in both fundraising and reading.
Don’t forget—every morning on the announcements, we’ll be drawing names of students who read the night before and turned in their slips with the correct answers! Keep reading and turning in those slips for a chance to win! 📖

Due to the anticipated weather conditions below we are dismissing students 2 hours early. All after-school activities will be cancelled as well.

Mrs. Blair’s class had some special visitors today! Mrs. Gardner’s students stopped by to read with them and even helped decorate their own bookmarks!
Mrs. Pritchett also joined in to recognize students for their amazing participation in the read-a-thon so far. Keep up the great work, everyone!

Check out today’s drawing winners! These students returned their slips with the correct answer from last night’s reading of The Wild Robot!
Don’t forget to read Chapters 6-11 tonight and submit your answers tomorrow for another chance to win a prize.
As a school, we’ve raised over $5,000 so far! Check out the top leaders in donations and minutes read. Keep up the great work!

We hope everyone enjoyed reading chapters 1-5 of The Wild Robot! Don’t forget to answer tonight's question and bring it back to school tomorrow for a chance to win a prize!

Carter received the Golden Award today! He’s always the first to cheer on his classmates when they’re recognized or rewarded. Way to go, Carter!
