We are excited to recognize Ms. Plumley as one of our Pawsome Staff members at Maple Elementary School! 🌟

Ms. Plumley is a wonderful addition to our SEL team and truly leads with heart. She is always willing to lend a helping hand to students and staff, goes above and beyond to support those in need, and brings creativity and compassion to everything she does. 💚

Tonight was Cookies and Cocoa with Santa! 🎅🏽🍪 We loved partnering with our Maple Judy Center to host a fun filled family night. Families enjoyed math games, stories read aloud, dinner, and of course - cookies and cocoa!

As part of our Holiday Spirit Week fun, students and staff teamed up to dress alike for National Twin Day! From matching outfits to shared smiles, we saw double the spirit and double the fun throughout the building today. 🦁💚

Due to hazardous road conditions and freezing temperatures, Dorchester County Public Schools will open on a two-hour delay tomorrow, Monday, December 15, 2025. Please be safe!

Join us next week, December 15–19, as we celebrate with fun themed dress-up days! This is an optional special dress week—students who participate do not need to wear uniforms.

Wear white and/or blue with festive holiday accessories!

Show your spirit by dressing in green or red.

🛌 Wednesday – Holiday Pajama Day:
Come cozy in your favorite holiday pajamas!

👯‍♂️ Thursday – National Twin Day:
Find a twin and match outfits for the day!

🎄 Friday – Ugly Sweater Day:
Wear your most festive (or ugliest!) holiday sweater.

We can’t wait to see everyone’s spirit! 💚

Today we celebrated the 67th day of school! 🎉 Mrs. Blair’s PK4 students played “67 Seconds to Win It” games and made a special snack where they counted out 6 pretzel sticks and 7 M&M’s. The rest of the school joined in the fun with a schoolwide hunt to find “67s” hidden throughout the building. Students who found one stopped by the office to claim a prize!

Help us celebrate Ms. Lay Lay, one of our incredible staff members in the cafeteria! 🦁💚

Ms. Lay Lay goes above and beyond every single day to build positive, meaningful relationships with our students. She greets everyone with a warm smile, radiates positivity, and makes a real difference in our school community.

We are so grateful to have her as part of the Maple family this year. Thank you, Ms. Lay Lay, for everything you do—you truly are PAWsome! 🐾✨

The holidays are coming — and so are those winter germs! Our PK4 students had a blast learning about handwashing and germ safety with Marcia Spicer, School Health Program Supervisor, who stopped by dressed as a cheerful elf!🎄💚 #withJoy

Our Maple Lions shined at the Winter Concert tonight #withJoy! A huge thank you to Mrs. Thompson for planning and organizing such a wonderful event and for making sure our Lions were confident and ready to perform! 🌟🎶
