We are so excited to see all of the families in PK4-2nd grade who sent in their RSVP for the Back to School Stuffed Animal Olympics tomorrow night. The event will be held tomorrow at Maple from 5:30 - 7:00 PM.

To celebrate this event, all students can wear sportswear to school on Thursday, September 18th. Students do not need to be in uniform!

A huge thank you to 3C USA Dorchester Campus Church for treating our staff to a yummy breakfast this morning! It was the perfect way to kick off our day #withJoy!

Today, our amazing 4th graders had a blast in P.E. with Mr. Daniels playing cooperative games! These activities helped them practice teamwork, communication, and problem solving - all while having so much fun. Scroll through the pictures to see their smiles and teamwork in action. Way to go, 4th grade!

This week, our 5th graders have jumped right into their first math unit on Volume! They worked together in teams to build six rectangular prisms with unit cubes to match their diagrams exactly — then used different strategies to find the volume of each prism. Teamwork + problem solving = success! #withJoy

In Ms. Spedden's 5th grade science class, students planted their own terrariums to explore how ecosystems work. Each terrarium became a miniature world complete with soil, grass and alfalfa seeds, and leaf litter. Students will be observing them to determine the interactions between living and nonliving things. They will learn about the roles of producers, consumers, and decomposers, as well as how energy flows through an ecosystem.

The first two weeks are in the books, and our staff absolutely crushed it!

Since joining the Maple Elementary family, Ms. Love has brought warmth, enthusiasm, and a truly positive spirit to everything she does. Her energy lights up our halls, and her kind heart makes a difference in the lives of students and staff. Every time she steps into our building she does it #with JOY and we are so grateful to have her this school year!

Just a reminder that tomorrow, September 12th, is our House Reunion! Returning Maple Lions should wear their House color. Students who are new to Maple will be joining a House and should wear black or white.

Our youngest learners filled the building with smiles, laughter, and big first-day energy. We can’t wait to watch them grow, learn, and roar all year long! 💚

We welcomed our PK3, PK4, and Kindergarten Lions today! Our halls were filled with tiny footsteps, big smiles, and lots of excitement as our youngest learners began their school adventure. From sipping Jitter Juice to playing with friends on the playground and learning school routines and rules during Cub Camp lessons, our littlest lions are off to a ROARing start! 💚🦁

Our 1st–5th graders were all smiles today! We can’t wait to welcome our PK3, PK4, and Kindergarten Maple Lions on Thursday!

What an amazing first day of school for our 1st–5th graders! Our halls were filled with excitement and smiles. From meeting teachers and friends to getting started with new routines, our students started the year off strong. We can’t wait to see all the growth, memories, and accomplishments this year will bring. Here’s to a fantastic school year at Maple Elementary! 💚🦁

We can’t wait to see all of our Maple Lions back at school! 🦁💚 • Grades 1–5 return tomorrow, Tuesday, September 2nd. • PreK & Kindergarten start on Thursday, September 4th. A few reminders for families: • Drop-off begins at 8:30 AM. • After 8:45 AM, students are considered tardy and will need to be signed in by a parent/guardian at the main office. We’re so excited for the first days of school and can’t wait to kick off a wonderful year together!

Every year, we look forward to our Open House day—and this year was no exception! A big thank you to our amazing community partners for sharing valuable resources with our families, to our social workers for leading a fun and meaningful mental health activity, to Mr. Jenkins for helping on the grill, and to all of our staff for their hard work. We are especially grateful to all of our families who stopped by today! 💚

Thank you to all of the families who joined us for our Opening Ceremony this afternoon! It was wonderful to see so many students and families together to kick off the school year.
