This week we are excited to recognize Mr. Chester for being a truly PAWsome member of the Maple Elementary team! 🦁
Mr. Chester consistently goes above and beyond to support all students. He is quick to respond whenever help is needed and gives 100% effort each and every day. Not only does he take great care of our students, but he also checks in on his colleagues to make sure everyone feels supported.
His positive attitude, patience, and dedication make a difference in our school community every day. We are grateful to have him as part of our Maple family! 💚

Mrs. Thibault’s third graders have been busy exploring fractions in fun and hands-on ways!
Students used playdough to build and identify fractions, helping them see and feel how parts make up a whole. Students also practiced placing fractions on a number line, strengthening their understanding of fraction size and how fractions relate to whole numbers.

A huge THANK YOU to the Cambridge Rotary Club for donating brand new dictionaries to every one of our 3rd graders at Maple Elementary School!
Our students were beyond excited to receive their very own dictionaries and wasted no time putting them to good use. They especially loved learning about the longest word in the dictionary — a whopping 1,909 letters long! 🤯📖
We are so grateful for community partners like the Cambridge Rotary Club who invest in our students’ learning and help spark curiosity, vocabulary growth, and a love of words. Thank you for supporting our ROARing readers! 💚✨

🐾✨ PAWSOME STAFF SPOTLIGHT ✨🐾
Join us in celebrating our PAWsome staff member of the week, Ms. Walter! 🦁💚
Ms. Walter is a huge asset to our students and staff. She never hesitates to jump in and help whenever needed — always ready to lend a hand or a listening ear. She has built strong, positive relationships with both coworkers and students, and it truly shows each and every day!
We are so grateful for her hard work, dedication, and the kindness she brings to Maple Elementary. Thank you for being PAWSOME, Ms. Walter! 👏
Our artists have been hard at work designing collaborative shape banners in Mrs. Turner's art classes! 🎨✨
Before getting started, students explored the concepts of positive and negative space in art and discussed how both play an important role in creating dynamic designs. After creating their positive space shapes, they were given full creative freedom to add color that filled their negative space.
Students were encouraged to let their colors and shapes overlap, resulting in artwork that is bold, joyful, and full of vibrant energy! We love seeing their creativity shine through in every unique design.
This week at Maple Elementary School, we launched TWO exciting new student incentives — and we’re already seeing our students shine! ✨
🚌 Gold Medal Bus Riders – Awarded to students who demonstrate safe and responsible behavior on the bus.
🌟 Golden Tickets at Lunch – Given to students showing the very best behavior while ROARing to Success by being:
✔️ Respectful
✔️ Organized
✔️ Attentive
✔️ Responsible
