Tuesday, April 2nd is World Autism Acceptance Day and kicks off Autism Acceptance Month.
To celebrate neurodiversity and ally with those with Autism, please feel free to wear Red, Gold, or Rainbow.
Why Red? "#RedInstead" is a movement initiated by individuals with Autism to promote the move from "Autism Awareness" to "Autism Acceptance" and to amplify Autistic voices. Who better to learn about Autism from than the experts!
Why Gold? The periodic element Gold is represented by the symbol Au - the first two letters of the word "Autism." Gold is considered a precious metal, just as every individual on the spectrum is a valuable and irreplaceable member of society.
Why Rainbow? The Autism Community embraces the use of rainbow colors and the infinity symbol to represent that Autism is a complex spectrum of individuals who possess a vast range of strengths and challenges.
Please stand in solidarity with the Autism Community to celebrate inclusivity and acceptance of all kinds of minds on Tuesday, April 2nd!
