The last day of school, Mrs. Shay presented the 8th grade MLMS BE-U Ambassadors, the 7 Habits of Highly Effective Teens book as a transitional gift. We celebrated two victories today here at Mace’s Lane. First, we congratulate Amistad for earning their first quarter title since the fall of 2022! Secondly, we want to extend a congratulations to the MLMS staff basketball team that absolutely dominated the students today! We thank everyone involved for their effort and enthusiasm!

MLMS Families and Community/Business Leaders,
Are you interested in participating in our Career Networking Event? Come out Wednesday May 14th, from 8:00-11:30 AM. Please use this link to RSVP: http://bit.ly/4lea8mE

Mace’s Lane Middle School, 8th Grade Trinity Frazier participated in conducting career research with a collaborative effort with her AVID teacher, Ms. Meyers-Brown and Career Coach, Mrs.Shay for the MLMS Community Career Gallery Walk event in the fall. During the event, Mr. Goodson and his wife attended to support our students where Trinity sang for them. Months later, Mr. Goodson who works for the Governor’s Office of Crime, Prevention and Policy, who also happens to be a key partner in the Community UA Rise Flag Football contacted the school to offer Trinity the unique opportunity to sing the National Anthem at the Under Armour Flag Football Opening Day Ceremony on Saturday, May 3rd!
“Getting students to step out of their comfort zone, embrace their uniqueness, explore their interest, and communicate their career aspirations while seeing the doors of opportunity open is the best part of the role as a Career Coach” says Mrs. Shay Lewis-Sisco.
