Our 6th grade students are gearing up for MCAP in a fun and engaging way! Recently, they participated in a context clues “egg hunt”, where they practiced using strategies to determine the meaning of unfamiliar words. 🥚🔍

This interactive activity not only built critical reading skills but also kept students excited and motivated as they prepare for testing. We love seeing learning come to life in creative ways!

Let’s cheer on our 6th graders as they continue to work hard and show what they know! 💪🐯

🎨✨ Figurative Language in Action at MLMS! ✨🎨

Our 6th grade RLA students in Mrs. Mowbray’s and Mrs. Kolakowski’s classes took learning beyond the classroom and into the sunshine! ☀️

As part of their study on figurative language, including metaphors, similes, and personification, students participated in a creative “chalk the walk” activity. Each student selected a figurative phrase and illustrated either its figurative or literal meaning using sidewalk chalk.

The result? A colorful showcase of creativity, critical thinking, and joyful learning right here at Maces Lane! 💛🖍️

We love seeing our Tigers bring their learning to life in such meaningful (and fun!) ways. Be sure to check out the amazing artwork!

Grandparents Day ☕🥐 MLMS Breakfast with Grandparents Day 🥐☕ Mace’s Lane Middle School is excited to invite our grandparents to join us for a special Breakfast with Grandparents Day! 📅 March 19th ⏰ 8:00 AM – 8:30 AM 📍 Mace’s Lane Middle School Grandparents will enjoy a morning of quality time with their grandchild while sharing a light breakfast. Breakfast will include coffee, hot chocolate, pastries, donuts, fresh fruit, and more!
