🐣🔬 **Science Comes to Life at MLMS!** 🔬🐣
Mr. Miller's 8th grade science classes recently had the incredible opportunity to experience the life cycle firsthand by hatching chicks right in their classroom!
Throughout the process, students learned about embryonic development by candling eggs, tracking growth, monitoring incubation conditions, and observing the changes taking place inside each egg. The excitement grew each day as students eagerly checked on their future feathered classmates.
Of course, no new members of the MLMS family could arrive without names! Students got creative, giving our newest chicks names ranging from "Chic Fil A" to several other unique and hilarious choices that kept everyone smiling.
This hands-on learning experience brought science to life, allowing students to connect classroom concepts with real-world observations in a memorable and engaging way. A huge thank you to Mr. Miller for creating an unforgettable opportunity for our students!

Our students explored science in action through an exciting egg dissection lab! Prior to the activity, eggshells were dissolved in vinegar over a 48-hour period, allowing students to observe and discuss acid-base reactions and chemical changes firsthand. 🥚⚗️
Students had the opportunity to investigate the structure of the egg, make observations, ask questions, and connect real-world science concepts to what they are learning in the classroom. We love seeing our Tigers engaged, curious, and excited about learning through hands-on experiences! 🐯💡
