Come by Mace’s Lane tomorrow from 3:00 PM to 4:30 PM for our monthly food pantry giveaway, hosted by Midshore Meals til Monday in partnership with the Mace’s Lane Middle School Student Community Action Club.

This event is open to all DCPS families and citizens of Dorchester County. Please be sure to tell a friend, loved one, or coworker to stop by and pick up a healthy, nutritious bag of groceries.

Let’s come together to support our community and make sure everyone has access to good food!

Each house came together to: 🏆 Learn their new chants and call-and-response cheers 🔥 Compete in an epic chant-off competition 🏀 Watch (and cheer for!) an exciting basketball game featuring our talented staff vs. our students! Good afternoon, We will be holding soccer tryouts Monday September 8th from 3-4:30 PM. If your student wants to try out, please make sure they bring appropriate clothing, shoes and a water bottle with them. Transportation home will not be provided.

All students will be participating in i-Ready Math Diagnostic testing starting Tuesday, September 3rd through Friday, September 19th.

📚 Who: Math & Algebra 1 classes
🧩 Why: To help us understand each student’s strengths and areas for growth in math!

It was wonderful to see everyone together again—sharing laughter, reconnecting, and collaborating as we prepare for another amazing year ahead. Spotlight #8! Mrs. Amy Lawson is also no stranger to Mace's Lane. Mrs. Lawson has been a crucial part of our team in different ways over the years, including becoming a long term guest educator on the 6th grade hallway towards the end of the 24-25 school year. Now, she gets to call that classroom her own! We are so grateful Mrs. Lawson continues to choose MLMS and are happy she's joining our science department full time.

Spotlight #7. Mr. Cole Morrissette is no stranger to Mace's Lane Middle School. He was a student here not so long ago! Coming to us from Salisbury University, Mr. Morrissette is joining our PE/Health teachers. We are so excited to say "Welcome home Mr. Morrissette!"
