✅ Discover what to do if they are being bullied
✅ Learn how to support others experiencing bullying

🐣🔬 **Science Comes to Life at MLMS!** 🔬🐣

Mr. Miller's 8th grade science classes recently had the incredible opportunity to experience the life cycle firsthand by hatching chicks right in their classroom!

Throughout the process, students learned about embryonic development by candling eggs, tracking growth, monitoring incubation conditions, and observing the changes taking place inside each egg. The excitement grew each day as students eagerly checked on their future feathered classmates.

Of course, no new members of the MLMS family could arrive without names! Students got creative, giving our newest chicks names ranging from "Chic Fil A" to several other unique and hilarious choices that kept everyone smiling.

This hands-on learning experience brought science to life, allowing students to connect classroom concepts with real-world observations in a memorable and engaging way. A huge thank you to Mr. Miller for creating an unforgettable opportunity for our students!

Mace’s Lane Middle School is excited to celebrate the dedication, teamwork, and hard work of our students who participated in an after-school activity, club, sport, or extracurricular program this school year!

Students and advisors are invited to join us for an afternoon of fun, games, and a healthy meal as we recognize the many accomplishments and memories made throughout the year.

We are proud of the commitment our students have shown both in and out of the classroom, and we look forward to celebrating together!

⚠️ Please note: Transportation will not be provided. Students must arrange for pick-up at 4:30 PM.

As part of our End-of-Year House Celebration, Isibindi House has earned the House Field Trip to Six Flags on **Thursday, June 4!**

Students in Isibindi House who met the behavior expectations for the quarter will be bringing home a permission form. Families, please check with your student this afternoon and be sure to return the completed form by **Wednesday, June 3**.

📋 A signed permission form is required for your child to attend the trip.

We are incredibly proud of our Isibindi students for demonstrating courage, leadership, positive behavior, and house pride throughout the year.

🧡🐯 May is Mental Health Awareness Month! 🐯🧡

At MLMS, we know that mental health is just as important as physical health. Our school social workers are helping students celebrate Mental Health Awareness Month with activities, support, and reminders about healthy ways to care for themselves each day.

Some important reminders for our students and families:
💚 Eat healthy foods
💚 Stay active and get moving
💚 Get enough sleep
💚 Stay connected with friends and family
💚 Spend time outside and enjoy fresh air
💚 Be creative and explore hobbies you enjoy
💚 Reach out for help when needed

We encourage our students to remember that it is okay to ask for support and that caring for your mental health matters every day.
