At MLMS, we know that mental health is just as important as physical health. Our school social workers are helping students celebrate Mental Health Awareness Month with activities, support, and reminders about healthy ways to care for themselves each day.

Some important reminders for our students and families:
💚 Eat healthy foods
💚 Stay active and get moving
💚 Get enough sleep
💚 Stay connected with friends and family
💚 Spend time outside and enjoy fresh air
💚 Be creative and explore hobbies you enjoy
💚 Reach out for help when needed

We encourage our students to remember that it is okay to ask for support and that caring for your mental health matters every day.

🧪🔬 Hands-on learning was happening at MLMS last week! 🔬🧪

Our students explored science in action through an exciting egg dissection lab! Prior to the activity, eggshells were dissolved in vinegar over a 48-hour period, allowing students to observe and discuss acid-base reactions and chemical changes firsthand. 🥚⚗️

Students had the opportunity to investigate the structure of the egg, make observations, ask questions, and connect real-world science concepts to what they are learning in the classroom. We love seeing our Tigers engaged, curious, and excited about learning through hands-on experiences! 🐯💡

Great job to our students and staff for bringing science to life at MLMS! 👏

Mace’s Lane Middle School is excited to announce that the 2026 8th Grade Formal will be held on Friday, June 5, 2026, from 5:00 PM–7:00 PM in the MLMS cafeteria. This year’s theme is ✨City Nights✨ and we are looking forward to celebrating our amazing 8th grade students as they prepare for their transition to high school! 🎟️ Tickets: $5.00 📅 Ticket Sales Begin: May 15, 2026 💵 Tickets Sold By: Ms. Meyers To attend the formal, students must meet the following expectations during 4th quarter: ✔️ No more than one major discipline referral ✔️ No greater than a 10% absence rate ✔️ No more than one failing core academic grade (E) 👔👗 Students are expected to dress appropriately for this school-sponsored formal event and follow the expectations outlined in the MLMS Student Handbook.
