CASE students dissected chicken wings to identify different tissues found in animals. They removed epithelial tissues and compared skeletal and cardiac muscle tissue structure under a microscope. They also observed connective tissues such as bone, cartilage, tendons and ligaments and how those tissues aid in the movement of the limb.








Students in Human Body Systems were visited by Ms. Damaris Bourland to learn about muscle structure and function and complete a dissection activity.











Mrs. Emily Corbman visited the biomedical Innovations class today to discuss and explore the radiology field.

SkillsUSA member R’Miya Rosado visits the Mace’s Lane Middle School BE-U Ambassador after-school program to share information on the Cosmetology program and discuss the importance of beauty and self-care. As a SkillsUSA member, R’Miya modeled several personal and workplace skills during her visit while sharing the technical skills of her program with middle school students interested in pursuing cosmetology. DCPS Career Coach initiatives are expanding leadership opportunities for students to empower their peers while building their recruitment skills!

Students in Biomedical Innovations are working on an epidemiological investigation on why the Williams family is so sick. Today was all about testing their water supply to determine bacterial and chemical contamination.
