Today we celebrate the future workforce leaders of tomorrow!

Through dedication, hands-on learning, industry certifications, and leadership development, they have prepared themselves to excel in their chosen fields. We are incredibly proud to recognize their hard work, commitment, and accomplishments.
Congratulations to our SkillsUSA seniors as they sign on to careers in the industries they love. Your future is bright, and this is only the beginning! 🔧⚕️💻🚛🏗️✂️

At Dorchester Career and Technology Center, our CTE teachers do so much — they inspire, mentor, and prepare students for successful futures every single day.
From classrooms to labs, shops to clinical settings, our teachers create hands-on learning experiences that build confidence, leadership, technical skills, and career readiness. They challenge students to think critically, work hard, and believe in their potential.
Whether students are earning certifications, exploring career pathways, or discovering passions they never knew they had, it all starts with dedicated educators who care deeply about their success.
Thank you to our incredible DCTC teachers for your passion, innovation, and commitment to empowering the next generation of skilled professionals and leaders. Your impact reaches far beyond the classroom, and we are grateful for all you do!

Today’s Principal Day and we counselor let it go by without highlighting Mrs. Ashley Robinson, principal of the Dorchester Career & Technology Center.

We’ve been having some amazing hands-on learning in our Cosmetology program lately!
Our cosmetology students recently completed a perm service in the student salon and did an incredible job demonstrating their skills, professionalism, and attention to detail throughout the process. Experiences like this give students the opportunity to apply classroom learning in a real-world setting while building confidence in their craft.
We are so proud of the hard work, growth, and dedication our students continue to show as they prepare for future careers in the beauty industry!

🚗 Cruising Into Careers – What a Day! 🎉
Today’s Cruising Into Careers event was an incredible success! Our students had the opportunity to connect with local businesses, explore career pathways, and start envisioning their futures in a real, hands-on way.
Events like this are a highly visible snapshot of what our career coaches do—but the real work happens every single day behind the scenes.
While career fairs showcase connections, career coaches are constantly:
✨ Meeting one-on-one with students to map out goals and next steps
✨ Delivering engaging classroom lessons on career exploration, employability skills, and workforce readiness
✨ Helping students build resumes, practice interview skills, and complete applications
✨ Connecting students with internships, apprenticeships, and industry partners
✨ Supporting students in discovering their strengths, interests, and purpose
✨ Following up, encouraging, and advocating for students as they navigate their paths
What you see at events like today is just the tip of the iceberg. What you don’t see are the countless conversations, relationships, and moments that truly change a student’s trajectory.
A huge thank you to all of our business partners and staff who made today possible—and to our career coaches who are helping students cruise toward bright futures every day! 🚀

Happy Administrative Professionals Day to the women who keep everything running behind the scenes (and somehow make it look easy)!
Miss Turner — thank you for keeping us all on track, organized, and moving in the right direction every single day. We’d be lost without you.
Miss Franklin — your positivity and the smiles you bring make a difference more than you know. You brighten our days!
Miss Windsor — thank you for always jumping in wherever you’re needed. Your flexibility and willingness to help never go unnoticed.
We appreciate all that you do to support our staff, our students, and our entire school community. Today (and every day), we celebrate you!

Last Night we celebrated a powerful milestone for our PLTW Biomedical students—their Lab Coat Ceremony. 🥼
This moment marks more than just putting on a lab coat; it represents a commitment to professionalism, responsibility, and a future in the medical and scientific fields. As students stepped into their coats, they stepped into a new level of purpose—ready to explore, investigate, and make an impact.
We are proud of their hard work and dedication, and we can’t wait to see where this journey takes them!
We are grateful to our past students for coming back and volunteering their time to recognize this cohort!
