The CSD Interact Club partnered with the Rotary Club to support the annual Thanksgiving Luncheon at the Delmarva Community Center. Interact members helped set up the dining area, greeted guests, and assisted with serving food throughout the event. They also worked alongside Rotary volunteers to make sure the meal ran smoothly and that every guest felt welcomed. This partnership not only strengthened the connection between Interact and Rotary, but also allowed students to give back to the community in a meaningful way during the holiday season.

CSD’s Interact Club was very excited to receive a $500 check for the Holiday Gift Bag Service Project for the nursing home. We have an awesome connection with the Rotary Club and truly appreciate their support in helping us kickstart this project!

Today we celebrated #withJOY our students who met College and Career Readiness (CCR) PSAT cut scores and those who reached National Merit eligibility! This achievement reflects not only academic strength, but also determination and future ready skills. Proud is an understatement-keep aiming high!⭐️

Last weeks Student Scholar of the Week students are: Jade Mejia-Sidon, Julia Smith, Nyi'Aja Ennels, and Sa'Niya Elliott. All of these students have done a fantastic job in their classes and the teachers have noticed! Keep up the great work ladies!!!

CSD is having a Thanksgiving Box Giveaway. The 1st 100 CSD Families to sign up will recieve a box. Priority will be given to CSD families, and then to the community. They will be given out in order of contact. If you are selected, you will be contacted via phone or e-mail to confirm.

This week, we have four awesome students who deserve to be recognized. First, we have Rose, who is showing strong leadership in band. Next, Marlin Hernandez-Pinder, who is always willing to lend a helping hand to his peers. Then, Lizeth Gomez-Gonzalez, who is always excited to be at school and loves learning. Last but not least, Cayden Johns has recently jumped into Spanish and loves discovering new things. Congratulations to all the students nominated for Student Scholar of the Week!

This is a reminder that tomorrow, 11/7 is a half day for students. Please see below for the schedule. As a reminder, we will not have 1st Period (FLEX) due to it being a half-day.

We are excited to welcome Mrs. Dulin to our Viking Family!!! Her first official day at CSD is Monday. She will be working with 11th graders! Here is a message from Ms. Dulin:

Dear Cambridge-South Dorchester Community,

I am honored and excited to introduce myself as the new Assistant Principal at CSD. It is a privilege to join such a dynamic team that is dedicated to excellence and student success.
High school is such an important and memorable time in our students’ lives – a time to learn, grow, explore new opportunities, and discover who they are. My goal is to ensure that every student feels supported, challenged and valued as they work toward their goals of becoming productive citizens in our community.
I look forward to partnering with our amazing staff, families, and community members to create a positive and engaging school environment where every student can thrive. I look forward to building strong relationships, creating engaging learning experiences, and celebrating the many successes that make our school so special. Together, we’ll continue to build on the strong traditions and Viking pride that make CSD such a unique place in our community.

It's another week for our Vikings, and this is a busy one with it being MCAC week! We are encouraging all of our seniors to actively participate this week in daily collge visits. The whole school is having a spirit filled week as you can see in the photo. Keep in mind - the quarter is winding down so make sure you turn in any missing assignments!!! With Athletics, JV Football has a home game on Wednesday, and Varsity Football plays away at Easton. There is also XC Regionals at the Jungle at 3pm. Winter sport athletes and parents will have a meeting in the cafeteria at 5:30pm on Tuesday evening.
Friday, 10/31 there is a half day of school for students, as teachers participate in Professional Development. Have a great week Vikings!!!

This week, our music students were in for a real treat! The Prometheus Quartet joined their classes and gave an unforgettable performance. 🎻
The talented performers included Roger Shao (1st Violin), Anthony Chan (2nd Violin), Brian Jennings (Viola), and Wil Vanderslice (Cello).
A big shoutout to Mr. Vigo and Ms. Wise for making this incredible experience possible for our students!
