🔥 Your Journey Starts Here! 🔥

Dear Cambridge-South Dorchester School Community,

It is with great excitement and gratitude that I introduce myself as your new Assistant Principal. I am honored to join a community that is deeply committed to supporting students, empowering families, and fostering excellence in education.

Education has always been more than a career for me—it is my passion and my purpose. Throughout my professional journey, I have dedicated myself to helping students grow academically, socially, and emotionally while building positive relationships with families, staff, and the community. I believe every child deserves to feel safe, valued, challenged, and inspired each day they walk through our doors.

My educational background includes a bachelor’s degree in Conflict Analysis and Dispute Resolution, a master’s degree in School Counseling, and a doctorate in Educational Leadership. These experiences have shaped my belief that strong schools are built on trust, collaboration, and meaningful relationships.

As Assistant Principal, my goal is to be visible, approachable, and actively engaged in the life of our school. I look forward to celebrating student achievements, supporting our outstanding teachers and staff, partnering with families, and creating opportunities that help every student reach their fullest potential.

I also believe that schools thrive when the entire community works together. I encourage parents, guardians, community members, and local organizations to stay involved, share ideas, and partner with us as we continue building a positive and welcoming environment for all.

I am excited to become part of the Cambridge-South Dorchester community and look forward to getting to know each of you. Together, we will continue creating a school culture where every student feels a sense of belonging, discovers their strengths, and is prepared for a bright future.

Thank you for the warm welcome. I cannot wait to begin this journey with you and make this an incredible year together.

With appreciation,

Dr. Lydia Rosa
Assistant Principal
Cambridge-South Dorchester High School

Dear Cambridge-South Dorchester High School Families,
It is with great pride and excitement that I introduce myself as the new Principal of Cambridge-South Dorchester High School.
As a proud graduate of C-SDHS, this opportunity is deeply personal to me. My journey in education began in Dorchester County, where I spent seven years teaching at Mace’s Lane Middle School before serving as an assistant principal at C-SDHS. Throughout my career, I have remained committed to supporting students, building relationships, and serving the community that helped shape me.
My leadership theme is "Rooted Here. Built for This." It reflects both my connection to this community and my commitment to leading our school with pride, purpose, and accountability. My work as principal will be guided by three core pillars: Instructional Leadership, ensuring every student receives high-quality teaching and learning experiences; Culture of Excellence, creating a safe, structured, and supportive environment where high expectations are the standard; and Family & Community Trust, building strong partnerships through open communication, collaboration, and mutual respect.
Cambridge-South Dorchester High School has a rich tradition and a bright future ahead. I am honored to lead the next chapter of our school’s story and excited to continue building upon the pride and strength of this community. Every student deserves to feel supported, challenged, and prepared for success beyond high school. I look forward to working alongside our students, staff, families, and community as we continue moving Cambridge-South Dorchester High School forward together.
Thank you for your support and trust. It is truly an honor to serve this incredible community.
With Viking Pride,

Everett Young Jr.
Principal
