Over the next few days, we would like to give a shout out to the teachers who go above and beyond for our students at school. Up first, we have our Fine Arts Department. We are proud to recognize Jordyn Nichols, Natanael Hernandez, Tyzhaye Laws, and Kingsley Adegbhingbe as our Student Scholars of the Week. On Tuesday, our CSD Bocce team traveled to North Dorchester High School to compete against the Eagles. The Vikings and Eagles ended in a tie, with each team winning one round. There were some great shots by all team members, and everyone worked well together!

The students in Mrs. Rank's Flex Period Advisory class earned community service learning hours last week by sharing stories with Maple Elementary School students. Over the past few months, they wrote informative paragraphs about their home countries in both English and their first languages. They published the stories and compiled them into a book titled The Beautiful Places Where We Come From. The students practiced reading the stories and finally visited the elementary students.

What a night for the CSD Outdoor Track and Field Vikings!
Congratulations to Tahjere Pritchett for winning 1st place in the triple jump and breaking the school record! 🎉 TJ Wilson took 3rd place in the triple jump as well. Preston Adkins earned 2nd place in the 1600 meter run. And shoutout to the girls DMR relay team—Reital, Isabel, Jade, and Avery—for their 2nd place finish!
