**Happy 100th Day of School Celebration! ** Mrs. Dechert’s kindergarten class celebrated the 100th day of school on Tuesday, February 18th, by showcasing their 100th-day projects, which included 100 pennies, popcorn, M&Ms, and other creative items.
As the students arrived, Mrs. Dechert greeted them at the door with a cheerful, "Happy 100th Day of School!" The students happily echoed her greeting. While morning greetings are a regular part of their routine, Tuesday's celebration felt extra special. Each student picked a partner to exchange high fives and say "Happy 100th Day of School" until everyone participated. Shelby wrapped up the greetings by saying, "We will have an amazing day of school!"
Mrs. Dechert reminded the students that they had become 100 days smarter. She expressed how proud she was to see them learn and grow over the past 100 days and encouraged them to "kiss their brains" for their hard work.
An exciting part of the celebration included a game with 100 Hershey's Kisses. Mrs. Dechert had hidden the kisses around the classroom, each marked with a number on the bottom. Students worked in pairs to find two kisses at a time, bring them to Mrs. Dechert, and place them on a number chart, filling in all the numbers from 1 to 100. Of course, they got to enjoy the treats as well! Shelby was right; it truly was an amazing day!
