Meet Holt Blades, a talented PreK4 student thriving in Mrs. Sherri Todd's class at Vienna Elementary School. Beyond the classroom, Holt is conquering the ice as a passionate hockey player in Easton. Holt, you are absolutely crushing it!

Meet Savannah Price, the talented gymnast from Beach Bounders. In this captivating picture, Savannah is seen practicing her skills for future Olympic glory, owning her moment on the podium. Let's cheer for Savannah and celebrate her incredible accomplishments!

Our talented fourth-grade student, Vance Price, is making waves in the duck and goose calling competitions. With an impressive record of placing in the top three in every event in the area, his dedication and skill are truly commendable. We are incredibly proud of his achievements and can't wait to see what he'll accomplish next!

October is “Bullying Awareness and Prevention Month”. All students and staffs at every Dorchester County Public School, along with their community members, are encouraged to wear ORANGE on National Unity Day, Wednesday, October 16, 2024, to show a visible message of building commUNITY through kindness, acceptance, and inclusion to prevent bullying!
UNITY at Vienna Elementary: One SCHOOL! Three HOUSES—Amistad, Isibindi, and Rêveur! Everyone is encouraged to post pictures of those wearing orange and/or showing UNITY to social media using the hashtag #UnityEveryDay.




Congratulations to Ms. Jeanell Todd, the" Sharing is Caring" contest winner! Ms. Todd, our 4th and 5th grade teacher, shared valuable resources with her colleagues on the DCPS Elementary ELA Teacher Schoology Group page and was entered to win great prizes. Her name was drawn this month, and she emerged as the winner. We are truly grateful for her efforts and the knowledge she has shared with her colleagues. Thank you for inspiring us all!


What an incredible Fire Safety Week we had! Our PreK3, PreK4, Kindergarten, and 1st Grade students were thrilled to welcome the Vienna Fire Department and their awe-inspiring firetruck. The students learned essential fire safety guidelines and had a blast exploring the firetruck, all the firefighting tools, and even trying out the water hose. As if that wasn't enough, they also received cool hats and coloring books from the Vienna Fire Department. Thank you to Chief Jamie McFarlane and Mrs. Corey McFarlane for creating a truly memorable and special day for everyone involved!





The VPA will hold a Trunk or Treat at Vienna Elementary School on Saturday, October 26th, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
We are asking for candy donations and volunteers to decorate their trunks and help us celebrate Halloween!
If you want to donate candy, please send it to the school with your students before Wednesday, October 23rd. If you are interested in decorating your trunk, please send the bottom portion of the flyer. Prizes will be awarded for the best trunk!
Costumes are encouraged but not required.

Fall Market on Saturday, October 12th, from 7:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Check out 30+ vendors, vintage furniture, lamps, jewelry, clothing, toys, baked goods, and more at this school-community flea market! There will be music and face painting, so bring the whole family. Proceeds benefit the Career Coaching Program, Class of 2026, wrestling team, Skills U.S.A., and theatre production!


National Stop Bullying Day is Wednesday, October 9th. The day raises awareness of bullying and encourages people to stand up against it in schools, workplaces, and online. It also encourages people to spread kindness and support those who are being bullied.
When you can be anything, be kind! Kindness matters!

Check out these three awesome buddies! They love hanging out together, hitting the books at school, and tearing it up on the field after school. First graders Chance Blades and David Miller Frost, along with PreK4 student Holt Blades, are all about dominating the soccer field at the YMCA. Way to go! Vienna is excited for these amazing pals!"

Introducing our first featured athlete, Hunter Cage! Hunter is a double threat, playing football for the Laurel Bulldogs #52 and lacrosse for the Falcons #52. It seems like #52 is his lucky number! Let's give it up for Hunter! Go, Hunter!!

Our Vienna cafeteria ladies, Mrs. Harrington and Mrs. Wallace, held a drawing today to determine the winner of the "Farm to School" pumpkin. Guess who it was? The one and only Antonella Chan Chan! Miss Antonella Chan Chan is in Mrs. Rider's 2nd grade class.

- Discover strategies to help build your child’s resiliency.
- Meet and talk with other parents for support and to share ideas.
- Participants who engage and participate and complete at least five classes and the evaluation receive a $50 gift card (one per household/family).
