As we wrap up one year and start looking forward to the next - it's already time for the Class of 2027 to schedule your senior portraits!
Only a few hours until this stage is filled with our NDHS Class of 2026 graduates!
Graduation is tomorrow night, May 27, 2026 at 6:00pm. Doors for guests will close at 5:50pm - NO exceptions! Students report at 5:00 to the cafeteria to check in your personal belongings and begin line up in the gym. Please - No noise makers, balloons, etc. Please remember to reference your senior meeting packets for cap decorating and wardrobe requirements.
Elementary Walk Throughs will take place tomorrow after graduation practice. You will get on the bus for the Elementary school you attended. If you did no go to a DCPS Elementary School, you will most likely be placed on the Vienna bus. Please make sure you have a ride home after returning to NDHS because you will not be back in the school until graduation that night.
Attention Class of 2030 families! Please save the date for our First Flight Freshmen Orientation which will be held on July 15th and 16th. We can wait to meet our new Eagles! More information coming soon!
Let's cheer on the Varsity Softball Team as the play in the State Semi-Finals today! Go Eagles!!
Mandatory Graduation Practices will be on May 20th, May 21st, May 26th and May 27th. Do NOT be late - we will start promptly at 8:30. You MUST attend all practices if you plan to walk for graduation. May 20th will also be cap and gown and senior t-shirt distribution. May 26th will be ticket distribution. May 27th is a full dress rehearsal and elementary school walk throughs.
Our Baccalaureate Ceremony is this Thursday, May 21st at 6:00pm in the NDHS Auditorium. This is a non-ticketed event so it's a great chance for family and friends that do not have a ticket for graduation to see you in your cap and gown. This is a faith based event hosted by 3C USA.
Senior Awards Night is this Thursday, May 14th, at 6:00pm. A list for which students need to attend will be posted outside of Guidance on the office window. There will be a brief practice for the event on the morning of May 14th at 11:15am. Students please arrive for the awards ceremony by 5:15pm for line up in the gym. Please dress professionally and school appropriate.
As a PBIS reward, we had a great staff vs. student basketball game last week! It was a great time for the "athletes" and the fans alike!

Applications for Student Government Association for the 2026-2027 school year are now open! Please check your student email for the link to the application, ask your teacher for the link, or scan the QR code on flyers in the building. Applications close on FRIDAY, MAY 15TH!

Graduating Seniors & 11th graders who eat on 2nd lunch: Make sure you mark your calendar for Wednesday, May 13th because Mrs. Sarah Worley from the Maryland Corps: Service Year Option will be in Town Hall, set up at a table to talk to students interested in finding out how you can graduate from high school, sign up for their program and receive a paycheck every week for 10 months, have a mentor while learning how to be successful in a future career, and to top that off, when you complete this 10 month program, you’ll receive a stipend of $5,000 to spend anyway you’d like. This gives all graduating seniors a chance to learn more before you jump into a full time job or other post-secondary plans. It’s an optional year program if you need more time to figure out what you really want to do.
Friday, May 1st - DOCO LAX NIGHT!!! CSD hosts NDHS for girls and boys Senior Night Lacrosse games. Girls play at 5:30pm, Boys play at 7:00pm. There will be food trucks on site, fastest shot competition, K-2 Boys & Girls scrimmage. All games will be at the CSD Viking Stadium.
Congratulations to Joslin Cain and Christian Gorsuch on being selected as the NDHS Bayside Scholar Athletes! They were recognized at a dinner on Monday night with other athletes from all the schools in the Bayside Conference.
