
Mrs Knoepfel's 8th grade science class solving their crime scene today with the help of the University of Maryland Extension: Dorchester county 4H Leaders Ms. Erica and Ms. Karli. The students had a lot of fun and got to solve the crime using the skills they learned in class like finding and comparing fingerprints, foot prints, handwriting, tool marks, substances and witness statements. Both classes were able to successfully figure out who committed the crime.

Skirts must be within four inches of the top of the knee. Saggy shorts and pants are not allowed.Even if you are wearing athletic shorts under them. The NDMS Dress Code applies to boys and girls.

Congratulations to Darci Callahan, a 6th grade student in Mrs. Lomax's Social Studies class, who was selected as one of the winners in the annual "A Picture is Worth a Thousand Words" poster contest sponsored by the Maryland Council on Economic Education. The winners were selected from nearly 800 entries. Darci has been invited to attend the awards ceremony at Towson University on May 15th. She will be awarded a medal, certificate, copy of her winning poster, and a monetary prize. Her winning poster will appear in the Economic Council's annual calendar that will be distributed throughout the state of Maryland.

7th grade students in Ms. Clarke’s art class are learning about the Renaissance Art movement and the significance of stained glass windows. Before they get started on their final stained glass project, students practiced making radial symmetry out of coffee filters and markers.
