🐾 PAWsome Staff Spotlight 🦁 Congratulations to Mrs. Turner! Mrs. Turner has done an outstanding job teaching art this year. She engages students in a wide variety of creative projects that are proudly displayed throughout our school. From colorful student artwork to the stunning giant snowflakes in our hallways, her work has brought creativity and excitement to Maple Elementary. Thank you, Mrs. Turner, for your passion and dedication to making Maple a better place for all! 💚🤍

Today it was announced that Phoenix House is currently in the lead with the most points! That calls for a celebration! 🧡 Tomorrow, students may wear orange and will not be required to be in uniform.

Good Afternoon DCPS Families!

There is a slight chance of winter weather this evening, so just in case it impacts school tomorrow, students are being sent home today with their devices and/or paper learning packets.

If weather does cause a school closure, we will move to virtual instruction for the day. This is simply a precaution—we’re hoping Mother Nature cooperates and that we’ll see our students bright and early on Wednesday!

Thank you for helping us be prepared (and fingers crossed we won’t need it 🤞).

💚🦁 School Counselor Appreciation Week | February 2–6 🦁💚 Join us in celebrating our amazing school counselors, Mr. White and Ms. Plumley! We are so grateful for all that you do to support our school community!

Happy Groundhog Day! 🦫❄️ Mrs. Sann’s PK4 class learned about the Groundhog Day tradition, including the prediction of six more weeks of winter, and enjoyed a special treat!

Good Afternoon!
Due to patchy ice on backroads, Dorchester County Public Schools will operate on a two-hour delay tomorrow, Monday, February 2, 2026. Please be safe!
