Good morning HES Cheer Families! This week practice will be on Monday only We have a game Tuesday & Thursday at 6pm. Please arrive in uniform both days by 5:30pm .... 5:45pm the latest. We will then have practice on March 30th in preparation for our house celebration on April 8th. On April 8th please have all cheerleaders bring there cheer bags with them to school. They only need there Poms Poms... no uniforms. Our cheerleaders will also be participating in the girls on the run practice 5k that is scheduled for April 14th 4-5pm. We understand that a lot of cheerleaders are on the girls on the run team so we would love to cheer them on ! If you have any questions please don't hesitate to reach out to Ms. McBean 202-681-4613

As the weather begins to warm up and students are enjoying more time outside, please remember to send your student to school with a clear water bottle each day. We were fortunate to provide water bottles to students at the beginning of the year and at various times throughout the year as needed. At this time, we no longer have extras available, so we ask that families help ensure students come prepared with one each day. Thank you for your support! 😊

Just a reminder families ! Even though students may not have reading logs this month, as a school we should all be reading the wild robot book at home. If students are unable to read with an adult, tune into our Facebook page to read along with Mrs. Thompson as she post a video every night the chapters we are all supposed to be reading together! Students are then to answer the trivia questions and turn it in the next day to be able to get a prize ! Tonight we are on chapters 21-24. Thank you for your support in helping our students grow with their reading!

3-5th grade parents/ guardians, Another copy of the permission slip for the Willy Wonka play at CSD will be going home today. All students are allowed to go but we need the permission slips back ASAP. Please check your students book bags tonight for them and return them to school tomorrow. Thank you !
