During math today, ALL students in Miss Gisriel's math class were able to independently solve TWO addition problems immediately after the lesson! Students showed their work, labeled their pictures, and circled their answers! Well done Hummingbird scholars!

Not only have our Hummingbirds been working their hardest in their academics, they have been showing their Hummingbird CHARM in specials as well! Students in 1st grade and 4th grade enjoyed an exciting game of "Head, Shoulders, Knees, and Cone!"

It truly does take a village! Our staff have worked tremendously these past two weeks to get our school in tip top shape for students! Welcome Back Carnival 2024!
Over 200 families joined us for an afternoon of fun while meeting their teachers, wrote a "this year we will statement", got new information about our houses, met with their school counselors and Social Workers, and finally met with our community partners the Boys and Girls club, Dorchester Health department, and Life Energy Wellness.
This will be our best year yet!

We are pleased to welcome our families and students back to CES on August 29th from 3-5 pm. Families will meet teachers and staff and learn about new initiatives for the up coming year.
Once a student has checked all their boxes they will receive tickets to go use at the carnival, which will be set up in the front grass lot.
We look forward to seeing you next week!

We are pleased to announce that we will be providing our students with basic school supplies this year. During our back to school event students will be able to pick up their clear back packs and water bottles.
We are always in need of additional supplies. Please provide any additional supplies that you are able to purchase to your students classroom teacher in the fall.
Tissues, hand sanitizer and bleach wipes always go fast!
