Have a great Day!

I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to share an important update with you regarding my role within our school community.
It is with both excitement and gratitude that I announce I have accepted the position of Director of Elementary Schools within our district. This new role will officially begin on July 1st. Until that time, I will continue to proudly serve as Principal of Choptank Elementary School through the end of this school year.
Serving as your Principal over the past three years has been one of the greatest honors of my career. Together, we have accomplished so much for our students and school community. Through the hard work and dedication of our staff, students, and families, we have seen meaningful growth in both reading and math proficiency, ensuring more of our students are meeting and exceeding grade-level expectations.
In addition, we have made significant improvements to the overall appearance of our school, creating a more welcoming and vibrant environment that reflects the pride we all share in Choptank Elementary. Just as importantly, we have worked collaboratively to reduce chronic absenteeism, helping more students attend school regularly and fully engage in their learning.
These accomplishments are a direct result of our strong partnership and shared commitment to student success. I am incredibly proud of what we have achieved together and confident that Choptank Elementary will continue to thrive.
In the coming weeks, the district will share more information regarding leadership plans for the upcoming school year. Please know that I am committed to ensuring a smooth and thoughtful transition that keeps our students and school community at the center.
Thank you for your continued support, trust, and partnership. It has been a privilege to serve as your Principal, and I look forward to finishing the school year strongly alongside our incredible students and staff.
Respectfully,
Dr. Parker
Principal, Choptank Elementary School

Attendance all-stars are students who attend over 90% of the school days in the month.
Families please remember that 2/3 of CES students who miss more than 1.5 days a month are reading below grade level. We must get our students to school on time and ready to learn for them to grow into the best hummingbirds they can be.
