Sandy Hill Elementary School Supply List for Grades 1-5. PreK3, PreK4, and Kindergarten school supplies will be provided by the Sandy Hill Judy Center. Keep in mind, all students will also need a clear backpack and clear water bottle.
Come on down to Great Marsh Park on July 23 from 2-4pm to meet the Sandy Hill Administrators while your student enjoys a snow cone!
Our 5th Grade Promotion Ceremony is tomorrow morning. Doors will open to parents at 8:45 am and the ceremony will begin promptly at 9:00. Just a reminder, tickets are required for entrance and siblings enrolled at SHES in other grade levels will not be pulled from class to attend. Parents should enter through the gym door in the bus loop, but please do not park in the bus loop. We will have light refreshements following the ceremony.

The Board of Education of Dorchester County will conduct an Open Session at the date, time, and location indicated above to address business as indicated on the agenda. After the start of the Open session, the Board will meet in Closed in accordance with Section 3-305 of the General Provisions of the Annotated Code of Maryland to discuss personnel, update on legal issues, and coaching training. At the conclusion of the Closed Session, the Board will reconvene at 6:00 p.m. in the Open Regular Session.

XYLOVI Hive was bouncing with excitement as they travelled to Altitude Trampoline Park on Friday. XYLOVI was announced as the winning Hive during our final Hive Celebration on May 16th. It was close this year, but XYLOVI pulled off the win by earning more Bee Bucks than any other Hive this school year. Keep SWARMing, Bees! 🐝💜

We will also have hot dogs, pizza by the slice, popcorn, sweet treats and drinks for purchase. Attached is a list of donations needed by grade level to help make this event be the best that it can be!
Cost of admission: $5.00
Doors will be open at 4:30 for early admission/food purchases.

Congratulations to Purple Hive for earning the most points for the year! To celebrate this accomplishment the whole school is encouraged to dress in purple on Friday, May 23. If your child wears purple they are allowed to not wear a uniform. All Purple Hive members attending the trip to the trampoline park, we ask that you wear your Hive shirt, or a purple shirt if you don't have it.

On Friday, our Kindergarten and 1st Grade classes embarked on an exciting adventure to the Salisbury Zoo! The students had an amazing time exploring and discovering all the fascinating animals. From Bears to Monkey , each moment was filled with joy and wonder. What a fantastic day of learning and fun!
