We are back with a full week at the Owl's Nest! We will be closing out the month with a huge Black History Month Celebration. Spirit Week, Door and Essay Contests and a celebration that is open to the public! Tixs will also be on sale all week for the Dance. Monday 02.24 - Spirit Day - Tri Color Day Also, Staff Meeting Afterschool Tuesday 02.25 - Spirit Day - Strike 'Em Out. Also, Tutoring, Symphonic Band and Media Club Wednesday 02.26 - Spirit Day-College/University Day Also, Tutoring, Media Club, Lego Club. During the day, we will be busy with the 8th grade tour to DCTC, NDHS Play and Spring Pictures. Thursday 02.27 - Spirit Day - Celebrity/Role Model Also, Symphonic Band afterschool. Quarter 3 Interims will be emailed!!! During the school day, we will host public event to honor Black History Month Friday 02.28 - Spirit Day - Dress To Impress Also, finally we will hold our Valentine's Dance and D& D Club.

Good morning. Due to hazardous road conditions, DCPS will operate on a Virtual Learning day. Follow the schedule provided by your child's school. All staff are expected to telework, if possible, and essential employees should report at 10:00a.m. Stay safe.

Good evening! Dorchester County Public Schools will operate on a 2 hour delay tomorrow, Thursday, February 20th due to the inclement weather. We will reassess road conditions in the early morning and update everyone if there is a further change in the schedule. Thank you and stay safe.

Due to the uncertainty of the weather for Thursday, February 02.20.25 NDMS is postponing a few upcoming activities. Spring picture day will be rescheduled to 02.28. 8th grade Family Night is cancelled for 02.20. More information to follow. Valentine's Dance scheduled for Friday 02.21 will be postponed to 02.28.

NDMS is cancelling all afterschool activities for this evening. Students will also be bringing devices and chargers home as a precautionary measure.

Please join NDMS in celebrating Black History Month on February 27th at 1:30 pm. Parents are welcome to join us. The NDMS Band, Chorus, and Dance Team will be participating in the program.  The 1st place (door contest) winners will read their class essay during the program.  During this time, we will also be honoring several individuals for their achievement. Dr. Boyd will be our guest speaker for this amazing event. We hope to see you there.

Please help us congratulate our Amazing Singers that earned a position in the All Shore Choir. 6th Grade: Tre'sor Pinkett 7th Grade: Madelyn Baltz Lydia Shufelt Domir Savage Ella Abbott Jeremiah Howden 8th Grade: Kylie Elliott To earn a position in the Choir, students had to audition, as a soloist, for a panel of judges. We are so proud of our Musicians!!!

Back by popular demand.. NDMS Family Night!! If you attended last year, you know it was the place to be!! Due to the overwhelming number of attendees, we will be hosting Family night by grade level. 8th grade Family Data Night is up first. 8th grade families, please join us for an Italian dinner on February 20th from 5:30-7 pm. Please make sure to RSVP. Your student is bringing forms home tonight. We will also have child care available, in our gym. Forms are due by February 18th.

On February 20th, NDMS will be holding a Pit Beef/Turkey Fundraiser. $10 gets you a sandwich, chips and choice of drink. You will not be disappointed! Proceeds will go toward rewarding our amazing students with an end of year incentive. You have several ways to support our amazing school - 1. Share this to your page! Tell your friends and families! 2. Stop by Cambridge Tractor Supply on 2/20 between 11-1:30 and grab and go 3. Preorder for businesses (5 or more) for delivery 4. 8th grade families - Today your student will be bringing home a permission form to tour the AMAZING Dorchester Career and Technology Center. The tour will take place on February 26. Permission forms are due back to Ms. Lake by Friday February 21st.

It's that time of year when the Gods of Ancient Egypt manifest in Ms. Irby's social studies classroom to regale the classes with tales of their roles in the religion of Ancient Egypt! Thank you, Ms. Irby for always creating engaging lessons for our scholars!!
