Our NDMS Symphonic Band earned SUPERIOR (I) Ratings from every judge AND in sight reading at the Maryland District V ESBDA Jr. Band Festival today! 🤩🎶
This is an incredible accomplishment, essentially a "perfect score" — the music equivalent of scoring a “4” on the MCAPs! We are so proud of the hard work, discipline, and musical excellence our students continue to demonstrate.
Huge congratulations to our amazing musicians and to Mr. Bragg for his outstanding leadership.
A heartfelt thank‑you to all of our parents, staff, volunteers, and chaperones who support and advocate for music in our schools. Your commitment makes days like this possible.
And a special shoutout to our 7th grade counselor, Mr. Nibblett, for providing truck and trailer support to transport our instruments to and from Stephen Decatur. We appreciate you! 🙌

Our NDMS Symphonic Band had an incredible experience today working with Mr. Senkbeil, who shared valuable feedback, musical insight, and encouragement as our students prepare for Thursday’s Eastern Shore Junior Band Festival at Stephen Decatur Middle School.
It was a true treat having you with us—our young musicians grew because of your time, expertise, and passion for music education. 🎺🥁🎼
A big shout-out to Mr. Bragg for organizing this wonderful opportunity and making today’s visit possible! 👏
And a sincere thank-you to Mr. Pages, who extended the invitation after previously working with Mr. Senkbeil as a teaching colleague—and more recently collaborating through Salisbury University football events.
NDMS is sounding stronger every day! 💛🦅💙

Thank you for your understanding, and stay safe!

We’re excited to share that several NDMS students will have their artwork featured in the Dorchester Center for the Arts’ Young People’s Art Show! The artist reception will be held on March 14th from 5–7 PM, where student work will be judged for awards and recognized with participation certificates.
Art is all around us — from the mugs we use, to the street signs we read, to the buildings we work in. Creativity shapes our world, and our students are already stepping into the roles of future architects, designers, advertisers, fashion creators, and problem-solvers. We are incredibly proud of their talent and hard work!
