Today, we’re shining a light on mental health awareness. Staff and studetns were asked to wear green in support of mental health awareness. It’s important to remember that taking care of our mental well-being is just as crucial as our physical health. 🧠 Here are a few ways to support your mental health: Talk About It: Share your feelings with someone you trust. Stay Active: Physical activity can boost your mood! Practice Mindfulness: Take a moment to breathe and relax. Reach Out for Help: Don’t hesitate to seek support from a counselor or trusted adult. Let’s create a supportive environment where everyone feels safe to express themselves. Remember, you are not alone! 💪

🌟 Exciting News from NDMS! 🌟 In response to the Superintendent's challenge to elevate DCPS to 15th in the state of Maryland for MCAP scores, NDMS launched a MCAP Mastery class! This innovative program integrates cross-curricular concepts to ensure our students are well-prepared for the upcoming MCAP tests. As part of the RELA Mastery class, our amazing media specialist, Mrs. South, is leading a fantastic project where students are "creating" butterflies to support the environment. They have been nurturing these incredible creatures through their life cycle, and we’re thrilled to share that some are now emerging into the cocoon stage! 🦋 Together, we are fostering both academic excellence and environmental stewardship. Stay tuned for more updates on our students' progress!

🌞 As the weather warms up, we want to remind our students and families about the importance of adhering to our school dress code! 🌼 Dressing appropriately helps create a positive and respectful learning environment for everyone. Please take a moment to review the dress code guidelines to ensure that your outfits align with our expectations: Clothing must cover all areas from one armpit across to the other armpit. Bottoms must extend down past the fingertips. Tops must have shoulder straps of at least 2 inches. Rips or tears in bottoms should be lower than the fingertips. Undergarments must be worn and should not be visible. Bedroom slippers are not permitted. Unfortunately, we are unable to provide clothes for students to change into due to our depleted supply. Parents will be contacted to provide a change of clothes if necessary. Let’s work together to make our school a great place to learn and grow! If you have any questions about the dress code, please feel free to reach out. Thank you for your cooperation! 💙
