Dear Parent(s)/Guardian(s), We are doing a book swap Monday, March 11th . To be able to do this successfully, all ’100 Book Challenge’ books need to be returned Tuesday, March 12th. Please check under beds, between couch cushions, in the car, everywhere! Also, starting this Monday, March 11th, students will not be sent home with ‘100 Book Challenge’ books until Friday March 15th. We will still have the 2 step at-home reading expectation for homework, but students may read any book they have at home. It does not need to be leveled. Thank you for your support! Our morning announcements program, the Mighty Eagles News, is hosting an online fundraiser with DoubleGood Popcorn from March 12th at midnight to March 15th at 11:59pm. Hurlock Elementary School has decided to hold a Read-a-thon this year! Read-a-thons actually get your reader excited about reading and it gives friends and family the opportunity to encourage your child to read even more. Our Read-a-thon starts Monday March 4, 2024. Check your students take home folders today for Read-A-Thon instructions on how to activate your reader's personal page. This is where you will be able to view and record their progress.
