Dorchester County Public Schools is pleased to announce that Kayden Reid, a student at North Dorchester High School, has begun an apprenticeship with Composite Yacht, where he will apply the skills and knowledge he has developed through the Collision Repair & Refinishing program at Dorchester Career and Technology Center (DCTC).

Under the instruction of Mr. Jesse Morris at DCTC, Reid has been building and strengthening hands-on skills in collision repair and refinishing. Through this apprenticeship, he will have the opportunity to apply his classroom and technical training in a professional work environment while gaining valuable industry experience.

At Composite Yacht, Reid will work under the leadership of Leon Lahman, further developing his technical abilities and learning from professionals in the field.

This apprenticeship highlights the value of career and technical education in connecting students with real-world opportunities and helping them take the next step towards their future careers. Through partnerships with local employers like Composite Yacht, DCPS continues to support students as they build practical skills, explore career pathways, and transition from the classroom to the workforce.

DCPS congratulates Kayden Reid on this exciting opportunity and greatly appreciates Composite Yacht and Leon Lahman for supporting Dorchester County students through hands-on career learning experiences.
