Dorchester County Public Schools is proud to announce the addition of two talented students as Computer Repair Technician Apprentices, providing them with valuable hands-on experience in technology support within our district.
Ali Bahar, a student at North Dorchester High School, and Souhaila Doutoum, a student at Cambridge-South Dorchester High School, are putting the skills they’ve gained from our outstanding computer science teachers into practice by working alongside our dedicated IT team. Souhaila is collaborating directly with Ms. Stephanie Adams, while Ali is gaining experience under the guidance of Mr. Rob Carpenter. A special thank you goes to Supervisor of Information and Instructional Technology, Ms. Cindy Houghtaling, whose leadership and dedication were instrumental in making these IT apprenticeship opportunities possible and creating pathways for student success in the tech field.
This apprenticeship program is an exciting opportunity for students to bridge classroom learning with real-world application, preparing them for future careers in technology. DCPS remains committed to providing innovative learning experiences that empower students to explore their passions and build skills for the future.
