The Search for the Teacher of the Year and the First Class Teacher of the Year Begins
The Teacher of the Year Program is a wonderful opportunity for us to recognize exemplary teachers in Dorchester County and the State of Maryland. In our county we also recognize an outstanding first year teacher as the First Class Teacher of the Year.
It is now time to nominate next year's candidates!
This process begins with your nomination of an exemplary teacher who meets the requirements as outlined in the documents below.
- As a nominator, you will complete a form about your candidate which is then endorsed by the principal of the school where the teacher is assigned.
- The second form you will complete consists of four (4) questions describing your nominee. Please be sure to use the questions designed for either Teacher of the Year or First Class Teacher of the Year nominees.
All nominations should be turned in to the principal of the school by February 10, 2012 at 5 pm.
Only completed forms will be considered.
There are many exemplary teachers in our system who are well-respected by students, parents, and colleagues and who demonstrate leadership in their communities and beyond. Which one will you nominate?
